The Worship Director will lead worship and lead worship teams in developing high-impact services. This includes developing a qualified team of volunteers, scheduling for weekend services, leadership and coordination of volunteers, and overall management of the worship and production teams. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Lead Pastor.
responsibilities
Oversee all the aspects of worship services on Sunday mornings and events.
Prepare different software elements for services such as ProPresenter and Ableton.
Recruitment, management, and development of all worship and production volunteers.
Oversee role of band director (whether delegated or not) to develop sound and musicianship of the worship team.
Work with the leadership team to plan worship services and special events.
Oversee volunteer Production Team (soundboard, lyrics, camera, livestream, stage techs, and lights) to help execute our worship services.
Oversees budget and stewardship and resources for the worship and production ministry, including maintaining inventory and tracking of all equipment and assets.
Work on special projects including but not limited to testimony videos, special events, and any other creative elements needed.
requirements
A maturing follower of Jesus Christ who will consistently keep the ministry partner commitments of Lift Church, is a healthy disciple, and is unified with the leadership and direction of the church.
Experience leading worship and production in a ministry environment (3-5 years preferred).
Experience leading and training staff and/or volunteers (3-5 years preferred).
College degree preferred.
Strong proficiency in music and production.
Solid computing skills including Planning Center Online, ProPresenter, Ableton.
Strong work ethic – meets deadlines, is organized, can be trusted, uses time wisely.
Able to balance being a self-starter with respectfully asking questions and influencing improvement within a team environment.
Able to develop and implement new systems and strategies.
Able to bring creative ideas and content.
Project and task-oriented; able to manage multiple priorities.
